Heart and Soul

This week’s photo, taken April 22, 2017 at Union Bay Natural Area in northeast Seattle, WA, features a MARSH WREN belting out its song.

When a MARSH WREN sings, its entire body vibrates. Pouring its heart and soul into its song, the wren may close its eyes as it broadcasts its tune because it’s so into the music.

Thanks for a close-up visual of the various songs of Robins and Cardinals and Mourning Doves and White-throated Sparrows I’ve been hearing! Connie
