Face Begins to Shine

This week’s photo, taken April 11, 2017 at Richmond Beach Park in Shoreline, WA, shows the same individual ANNA’S HUMMINGBIRD that was featured in last week’s post.

As this male ANNA’S HUMMINGBIRD turns its head ever so slightly toward the sun, some of its red iridescent feathers begin to glow.
