At Any Angle

This week’s photo, taken April 11, 2017 at Richmond Beach Park in Shoreline, WA, features an adult male ANNA’S HUMMINGBIRD.

When the face of the male ANNA’S HUMMINGBIRD is not turned toward the sun, its iridescent head and throat feathers appear dark – instead of fiery red. Not to worry. At any angle, this tiny bird qualifies as a gorgeous specimen.

Looks like it’s wearing camouflage in this shot. Best, Fabe
